CPC20220 Certificate II in Construction Pathways and Statement of Attainment towards CPC20120 ​​Certificate II in Construction

This qualification provides a pathway to the primary trades in the construction industry except plumbing. This qualification is designed to introduce learners to the recognised trade callings in the construction industry and provide meaningful credit in a construction industry Australian Apprenticeship.


HSC INFORMATION
This is a Board Developed Course. Students who complete the 240-hour course may sit for the optional HSC exam, and their marks may contribute to the calculation of their ATAR.


UNITS
To achieve this qualification, competency must be demonstrated in 10 units of competency:

  • 5 core units; plus
  • 5 elective units.

  • CPCCOM1012 Work effectively and sustainably in the Construction Industry
  • CPCCOM1013 Plan and organise work
  • CPCCOM1015 Carry out measurements and calculations
  • CPCCVE1011 Undertake a basic construction project
  • CPCCWHS2001 Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the Construction Industry
  • CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
  • CPCCCA2002 Use carpentry tools and equipment
  • CPCCCA2011 Handle carpentry materials
  • CPCCVE1011 Undertake a basic Construction project
  • CPCCCM1011 Undertake basic estimation and costing
  • CPCCCM2004 Handle construction materials

Students also undertake 3 units towards the Statement of Attainment towards CPC20120 ​​Certificate II in Construction:

  • CPCCOM1014 Conduct workplace communication 
  • CPCCOM2001 Read and interpret plans and specifications
  • CPCCCM2005 Use construction tools and equipment
